UNTITLED (GLASS CHAIN), 2005

Untitled (glass chain) is a video which depicts two glass chains moving in a sensuous, slow, mesmerizing dance. They approach, intertwine and release infinitely in a meditation on the fragility and rhythm of relationship. The sound of touching glass highlights the effect of the piece and heightens the delicate and subtle tension.

The swing set was hand blown in MIT’s glass lab with the generous help and craftsmanship of Martin Demain. The video was produced with a high-speed camera from MIT’s Edgerton Center.
