SOMATIC CHOREOGRAPHIES: Spaces of encounter between art, community, and territory


The context for this co-creative process is a shared desire to create bridges across divides--between South and North, Indigenous and Western, young and old--, and to engage in deeper listening to and connecting with each other and the land.
This collaboration was conceived and organized by artists and educators Óscar Moreno Escárraga and Andrea Frank.

Artists from UTADEO, Colombia Bogota created video works, photography, and text bringing to life Relational Objects they made for this project. The resulting work was on display at Unison Arts Center in New Paltz, NY.
